April 29, 2010 Ria + Ken :: Point Loma
Ria and Ken's wedding took place at Point Loma Naval Base.  They had a beautiful ceremony and a very joyous reception.  We were surrounded with some of the most warm and fun loving people all around.  My second shooter for this wedding is the talented Conrad Lim.

If I had half your talent, I'd be happy. I digs this set. Great job like always.

Bandol and Ray are the kind of people that are smart, fun, and very imaginative.  When they approached me with their ideas for a semi theme engagement session at our very first meeting, admittedly I was very excited.  I knew that it would be interesting and we would have a blast trying to pull it off.  After doing some research, we found a couple of locations with great potential in Los Angeles.  And you know how much I love discovering new places to shoot in LA.  At the first location, we started the session with some moody, cool and sexy poses because it was calling for it.  Then as for the second part, we wanted to show more of their fun, lovable and quirky side by introducing a completely different theme.  Hint! hint! It's a tribute to a certain era ;)

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I was WOWed by the red wall - then blown away by the RUN DMC - style shots. Love your work!

There is a saying that if it rains on your wedding day, it's suppose to bring good luck.  Laura and Lance must have subscribed to this belief because they didn't seem to be bothered at all.  In fact, during the reception Laura even mentioned that it made their wedding day even more memorable because it reminded her of the first time they met.  It also rained that day.  How about that for a positive attitude.  All in all, the rain did provide us with some challenges and opportunities to think/shoot outside of the box.  In the end, I think we came away with some very unique images.  Our crew (Conrad as second and Sonny as assistant) had such a blast at this wedding and we wish nothing less than the best for these love birds.

Amazing work!
Incredible pictures under the rain!

Glad I have a chance to post some of Summer and Edward's images from their Vegas wedding.  We went around the city to some of our favorite spots for their portrait session.  It was an amazing day to say the least.  And here are some of my favorites.  Special thanks to Ari Simphoukham for coming out on this occasion.
